More than 10 years ago, when we first came to this little Caribbean island shared by two countries, we fell in love. We can easily perform a full circle of Sint Maarten Taxi in a week since the island is just 37 square miles in size. We’ve never been short on entertainment despite our small stature. We made the decision to construct a list of our top things to do in Sint Maarten after interacting with a number of cruise ship visitors. Who merely caught a peek of the activities on offer and questioned why we spent a full week there and kept coming back?
Even if you lack a diving certification, go diving.
Tim and I didn’t know how to scuba dive when Tim and I went to St. Maarten (we have since completed our dive certification in The Bahamas). However, we were diving enthusiasts, and SNUBA is a fantastic method for those who don’t dive to learn about what St. Maarten’s divers have to offer. You don’t wear your oxygen tanks; instead, you and your dive companion float on a tiny raft. You are connected to the raft and your pal via a 20-foot airline. Take an exhilarating zip line ride.
Near Pic Paradis are Loterie Farm and the Fly Zone Xtreme St. Maarten zip line. This is St. Maarten’s highest peak. It is hard to avoid engaging in anything that is seen as excessive. Since it excites us so much, this zip line and obstacle course is one of our favourite things to do in St. Martin. In fact, we’ve visited the island three times while doing this.
The St. Martin All Day Tour will undoubtedly get your blood pumping. Before flying into the woodlands, it involves riding a bus up a mountain. Throughout the course, obstacles including rope and plank bridges and zip lines must be mastered. On this St. Martin zip line, one of our favourites across the world, you will be able to experience the thrill of soaring over the rain forest even if it could demand some effort.
From Tuesday through Sunday, the Fly Zone Xtreme’s daily excursions leave at 10:00, 12:00, and 2:00 p.m. (ET). Mondays are behind us. There are no bookings accepted, so arrive early if you want to play the course as it is first-come, first-served. Each participant must pay €60 and be at least 18 years old to participate. Please wear closed-toed shoes and allow at least two hours for travel.
Prepare to soar down the steepest zip line in the whole globe!
On St. Maarten’s Rockland Estate, Rainforest Adventures debuted the St. Martin All Day Tour in November 2017, the steepest zip line tour in the world. Visitors may take the 4-person Souliga Sky Explorer chairlift to Sentry Hill’s Crow’s Nest. On the St. Martin All-Day Tour, visitors may see St. Maarten from every angle as well as the nearby islands of St. Barth’s, Anguilla, and Saba.
Be not scared. The spectacular panorama may be appreciated without having to endure the exhilarating 56 kph fall. On the Souliga Sky Explorer, light, reversible round journeys are still offered.

Sint Maarten Taxi most significant historical location On the leeward side of the island, right above Marigot, is where you may find taxi. It was built in 1767 to protect Marigot and was given the name of the French crusader king. Today, climbers to the top are rewarded with a stunning view of the whole island for their effort. You can see all the way to Anguilla in good visibility.
